Domestic violence occurs in many families and between adults who are or were in a close relationship and manifests itself in various forms.
It can take the form of physical, sexual and psychological violence. This is very stressful for those affected and their children.
You can get support here at the domestic violence advice center. lt is a counseling service for victims, relatives, trusted persons and professionals .
We offer advice, information and support:
- They can talk about their plight in confidence
- Clarifying their current situation, looking for ways to relieve them
- Information about shelters and women's refuges and referrals if necessary
- Support in an acute crisis situation
- Drawing up a safety plan (protective measures)
- Information on legal and police options

Our cooperation:
We work together with authorities, other specialist and counseling services and many other services in order to offer you the best possible support and to mediate. The aim of our counseling work is to prevent further violent assaults, develop future prospects and help you come to terms with your life of violence .
How is domestic violence characterized and when should I get support?

lf you are in your harne environment ...
- being mistreated, humiliated, threatened
- be silenced
- are persecuted and terrorized
- being abused, insulted, humiliated
- are prevented from making contact with other people or leaving the home
How can you reach us?
Our services are impartial, free of charge and, if desired, anonymous. Counseling can take place in person or by telephone, once or several times and usually without long waiting times.
The information center can be reached during the opening hours of the Caritas Association:
- Mo - Fr: 8.30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Monday - Thursday: 2 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.
The advice center is financed by the district of Sigmaringen.
