Assistance with living

Assistance with living (ABW) offers mentally ill people specialist support to enable them to lead an independent life. It also aims to strengthen their right to social participation. The service is aimed at people of legal age with mental disabilities or at risk of mental disabilities who live in their own home.
The aim of our outreach support service is to strengthen personal skills in order to achieve independent living. We follow the approaches of “empowerment” and “helping people to help themselves”.

This can take the form of home visits, accompaniment or appointments at our premises. The support is individualized and adapted to your needs.
In addition to individual socio-educational support, various group activities are offered on a regular basis.

Forms and scope of ABW

Our help is tailored to the individual needs of our clients and is divided into different levels according to intensity.
Those affected who have not yet reached the age of 27 can be supported by the Assistance with Living for Young Adults (ABWJ) with special care content.
We also have special offers for older people.

Useful information

The costs for the ABW can be applied for at the local integration assistance office.
Our offer of help is independent of religion, ideology or origin. We are also subject to the statutory duty of confidentiality and data protection regulations.
